*Some companies fasely imply that you need 1000's of Gauss for effective PEMF treatment. However, based on the Biot-Savart Law which states that For PEMF, the “penetration depth” is roughly equal to the coil’s radius, meaning a 7-inch radius coil can deliver therapeutic field strengths about 7 inches deep. This is true regardless of body type, because the human body is nearly transparent to magnetic fields. The takeaway: with properly sized and engineered coils, you can achieve deep, effective PEMF without resorting to unnecessarily high intensities.
