PEMF Device Therapy - Studies and Benefits
Share
PEMF therapy works by delivering low-frequency electromagnetic pulses to the body to stimulate cellular activity.
By supporting cellular renewal and circulation, PEMF is designed to encourage the body’s own healing response, promoting deep relaxation, recovery, and whole-body wellness.

PEMF Devices enhance ATP production — the primary energy source for all living cells. ATP also functions as a key signaling molecule, and research has shown that ATP levels can increase significantly during PEMF use.
*Higher ATP availability provides cells with more energy to support normal repair and recovery processes.
PEMF has also been shown to support increased levels of nitric oxide. Nitric oxide helps with:
Relaxs and widen blood vessels, promotes healthy circulation and improved blood flow. This enhanced circulation supports the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to tissues, which can benefit recovery, muscle performance, and overall cellular function.
In addition, nitric oxide contributes to normal immune function by supporting the body’s defense mechanisms and also acts as a neurotransmitter in the brain, where it influences cognitive processes such as memory and learning.

NASA’s Research on PEMF
Dr. Thomas Goodwin of NASA conducted an experimental study examining how electromagnetic fields affect neuronal cells.
Neuronal cells are responsible for transmitting electrical signals throughout the body. They allow the brain to communicate with muscles by sending messages that trigger movement. These cells can become damaged due to injuries or surgical procedures.
In the study, NASA explored whether electromagnetic fields could stimulate the regeneration of neural tissue and enhance electrical communication between neuronal cells. The findings showed that electromagnetic field stimulation increased neural regrowth by an impressive 250% to 400%
FDA Approval Of PEMF
In 1979, the FDA approved PEMF Therapy for the healing of nonunion fractures.
In 1998, the FDA approved PEMF Therapy for urinary incontinence and muscle stimulation.
In 2004, the FDA approved PEMF Therapy for cervical fusion patients at high-risk of non-fusion.
In 2006, the FDA approved PEMF Therapy for treatment of depression and anxiety.
In 2011, the FDA approved PEMF Therapy for treatment of brain cancer.
Safety of PEMF Therapy Devices
PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy has been researched for over 60 years and is supported by thousands of peer-reviewed studies highlighting its safety. It is a non-invasive, drug-free therapy commonly utilized for pain management, supporting tissue repair, promoting circulation, and enhancing overall wellness.
PEMF works by delivering low-frequency electromagnetic pulses that interact with the body’s natural electrical processes, helping support normal cellular function. Most people experience little to no side effects.
As with any therapy, individuals with implanted electronic devices (such as pacemakers), those who are pregnant, or anyone with a serious medical condition should consult a healthcare professional before use.
